professionalism

为了拔智齿休假2天,居然忘记开“out of office”,信箱里攒了上百封email,1/3是要回的非junk mail,还有2个当天的meeting request,对自己的unprofessional有点惭愧的说。

这又让我想起未settle on bschool前的工作过程中,经常碰到些“做法”问题——如何回老板这个email,怎么push这个远在印度的outsource——往往都会让我对bschool可以学到的soft skills憧憬一番。

刚刚看完日剧《2006小荒岛大医生》一部,男主人公在一次医疗事故后,引咎辞去东京大医院职务,去做了一个小岛医生;突然真切地觉得医生们很伟大,所产生的影响波及病人以及病人的整个家庭、甚至人生。想到小时候也一度立志要做个医生,后来怎么就放弃了⋯⋯ 不过,这份感动,在下午去看了lyc(我的家庭医生),等待20分钟,看病了2分钟,“再见”还未说完就不见人影后,就⋯⋯没了⋯⋯ -_-b

i think being on time is more important. Like me half an hour late for an interview meeting is just uncool. Being on time is important. I also learnt that spending extra 5 minutes before meeting to write down all the points and information can show even more professionalism.

did i mention i missed HR's exit interview completely? because i was happily chatting in the lunch room? after i wrote this post? -_-b
